Hello, I was using HQplayer on a USB connection. I just got a new optical cable that I’d like to try out, does HQplayer allow me to use it? I tried searching for the device on HQplayer but doesn’t seem to be able to.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated. 
What are you connecting the optical to?
The optical comes from my computer optical output, and I connect it to an iFi iDSD Black Label Micro. Thank you for your reply.
Have you tried to set the optical output as the default system audio output on your computer? Roon should see that.
Hello guys, I’ve succeeded in connecting to optical by selecting WASAPI instead of ASIO.
May I know what is you guys recommendation for the settings for HQplayer that runs through optical?
Currently I’m using ext2 with TPDF for PCM as optical does not support DSD.
