I am revisiting my earlier post dated May 30,2025 re streaming in DSD512 to Eversolo DMP A6.
I noticed, under device setup/advanced: DSD 512 may or may not show. rverything else remains unchanged. DSD256 is always available. So after a gap of few days DSD512 is again available!
any idea as to what’s going on?
Your Roon Server is not up to the task of upsampling to DSD512, which makes it a bit of a moot question. Processing speed needs to be above 1.2-1.3x at all times to secure glitch free playback.
But still, Roon discovers the capabilites of endpoints (RAAT zones) by a handshake process, it is decided by the endpoint what the max sample rate and formats might be. Have you asked Eversolo the same question?
