Hi,
I am suddenly getting the following activity on my Roon server.
“Adding music go library of 2812 tracks, 2812 added, 367 indentified.”
There has been a spinning circle that appears to be stuck since no music has been added and these numbers have not changed in 24 hours.
Is there a way of stopping this process since I have all of the music on my destination hard drives already in my library?
Lawrence
You can try going to settings: library: background audio analysis and set to off.
Then restart the Roon server.
I tried this but it did not seem to make any difference. I am still getting the spinning circle and the same message appears
Adding music go library of 2812 tracks, 2812 added, 367 indentified.”

Well, you obviously have added some 3K of tracks that previously wasn’t in your library.
These need to be identified, but something is stopping this process, and it needs internet connectivity so the “mothership” can identify them.
Either remove the files from wherever they have appeared (in one of the listed Storage locations), or make sure your Core/Server can reach the internet properly.
It is also possible that Roon have issues identifying them, for whatever reason (dubious metadata, not proper albums etc).
Hi @Lawrence_Devoe,
Thank you for following up.
We’ve checked the diagnostic data from your Roon Server, and it appears that the library analysis has already completed successfully.
Could you please confirm whether you still see the spinning circle in the top-right corner of the Roon app? If so, please let us know and share a quick screenshot so we can double-check what process might still be running.
Thanks!
Hi @Lawrence_Devoe,
We wanted to follow up to ensure you saw the response above. Please let us know if you still see the spinning circle indicating ongoing background analysis and we’ll take the case forward from there.
Otherwise, we’ll let this thread auto-close under the assumption that the issue has since been resolved.
Thank you!
