Description of Issue

For the past couple of days I have been unable to connect with my Core.

When I try to find it the search just keeps running.
Before this things were fine.
Please help me find my core.

Thanks,
Gary Allen

Simple you don’t have a network :smiling_imp:

You may have to provide more info for anyone to help …

Hey @Gary_Allen2,

Ben from support here, I wanted to check in on this thread to see if you were still having issues getting your remotes to recognize your core? If so, @Mike_O_Neill does bring up a good point in that including all your network information would be very helpful in this case. :+1:

Are you able to pull up Roon on your Mac core? What do you see when you to go Setttings>About?

PS - I saw from your profile that you’re from the Manchester, NH area. I’m originally from just over the hill in Vermont. Small world! Beautiful place over in the manchester area, too. Can’t beat early fall in the northeast!

I’ll be on standby for your reply.

when I try find my core it does not find it. it says I’m already hooked up. help!

@Gary_Allen2, can you provide additional information? Is this related to your original post, or a new issue? Can you share any screenshots? There is not much information with which to support you.

I’m stuck on my log in screen. things were running fine then something happened and it brought me to the log in screen. when I try to find my core it says it can’t find my core.
thanks Robert.

hi ben,
yes Vermont is beautiful.nh’s white mountains are awesome, I used to hike them on a regular basis trying to get all the 4800 footers. got to 17 of them, then my back gave out. but have a lot of good memories .
best,

Hey @Gary_Allen2,

Reviewing your account, I do see that your iMac core was online and active recently, were you able to get things sorted out?

Before you got to the login screen, were you able to select your iMac as the core? It would look like this (but instead of ‘Roon Optimized Core Kit’ you would see your iMac with the green circle and Ready indicator):

What happens when you try to login? If you haven’t yet, I would also give your router and network a hard restart, and see how things run after that. :+1:

hi Benjamin,
thanks for getting back to me.
When I turn on Roon, I get the same loin shot you sent.
I go to the Roon optimized core kit. press connect and it just keeps running .
have hard started it and the same results
Gary

@Gary_Allen2, is your Roon Core on your iMac (what @benjamin is seeing from Roon’s diagnostic system), or do you have a ROCK running your Core? From your original post, and what @benjamin is seeing, it appears your Core is on your iMac.

hi benjamin,

to get myself back to enjoying Roon since I’m still dead in the water, is there a way I could start over. could I I delete the Roon I have and re-enter from the beginning.
your thoughts ,
Best,
Gary

hi Robert,
yes my core is on my iMac.
Gary

Hey @Gary_Allen2,

Thank you for confirming that your core is the iMac.

To confirm, are you attempting to connect from the iMac directly? Not from your iPad or iPhone?

The good news is, Roon is still able to connect to your network, and managed to update to the newest build. How is your core connected to your router and network? If possible, can you please test out hardwiring your iMac via ethernet directly to your Router?

There is yes, but, I’m not fully convinced that would solve your issue yet.

Let me know, thanks, Gary!

ok ben,
just give me your best shot .
