You need to add an indicator or
better yet away to make HD def preferred
Currently I need to play a song before
knowing the playback quality.
At least Audirvana puts a little HD symbol.
Also, inadequate but better than nothing.

Whereâs the HiRes label? I thought that was still a feature request
The OP said he finds HD symbol inadequate.
There is no Hires label but the sample rate / bit depth numbers can be displayed, so the actual information is there. Itâs not necessary to âCurrently I need to play a song before knowing the playback qualityâ
In addition, the rate/depth numbers are displayed on an individual albumâs page, too. In addition, each version on the Versions tab shows the info, so itâs easy to pick one as the Primary Version.
Yes, but @David_Snyder had answered the OP. If you want the badge, it doesnât exist.
One part of it seems to be that using the HiRes badge requires some kind of certification that is probably not free:
Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA) announced a specification and accompanying âHi-Res AUDIOâ logo for consumer audio products, administered by the Japan Audio Society (JAS).
This is probably why Audirvana uses the HD logo (which the OP doesnât want either), so yeah this is still a feature suggestion. Why not, though Iâd rather see the simple numbers and the version string rather than a meaningless logo
