I use Roon ARC with Apple Car Play.
Currently, there are 357 albums and 5,369 tracks registered on Roon.
It would be great if I could edit and select tags in Roon ARC to quickly select albums or playlists.
You can select tags in ARC. At the top of each album, artist etc. screen there is a tag symbol that lets you select tags.

Not implemented on playlist, but you can workaround this by creating a smart playlist in Roon pulling all tracks from a tag.
This smart playlist can be played in Roon Arc
Hmm, that seems a little different.
My application would be to quickly select from a small, pre-selected list while driving or waiting at a traffic light, preferably with minimal operations, such as by turning a button on the car or an encoder button, rather than using a mobile phone with Roon ARC installed.
But you have Roon Arc on your CarPlay?
You could use that and not the mobile phone.
It’s dangerous when driving a car, so I think it’s best to keep the controls as simple as possible.
I dont have carplay, but I assume its two clicks if you set it up like this
Playlists → Play Smart Playlist
In Japan, operating or looking at a cell phone while driving can be a traffic violation and can get you arrested, so I think it’s dangerous too.

You have CarPlay in your car?
is it OK to operate CarPlay while in the car, say your at a traffic light?
If yes to both, then this should be doable workaround and you should have easy access to your tags as playlists in Roon Arc/Car Play mode
No need to use mobile phone at all in this scenario
I totally agree, using mobile phone while driving is dangerous and should be avoided.
The music I like to listen to in the car is pop, light-hearted music that I’ve never heard before.
I want to open Roon on my home PC, randomly choose the latest songs from Qobuz, add the album to Roon or add the new song to a playlist, and play Roon ARC in the car.
#If I listen to it in the car and don’t like it, I can later start Roon on my home PC and hide it or remove it from the playlist.
The music I listen to at home is relaxing, soothing music like jazz.
Currently, I have to scroll through several pages of music I want to listen to in the car, and it’s difficult to specify criteria.
I don’t think it’s possible to specify criteria like pop, light-hearted new songs, or old songs I like (excluding jazz and classical).
