IFI Go Link DSD256 Issue

Hello experts.

I have ifi go link and when try to play any album from my library which is DSD256 I face an issue and can only play DSD128.

From the settings I get option only for DSD64 and 128 and also I get no option for Native DSD.

The Go Link as I check supports DSD256.

Does anyone knows what is going on please?

Thanks for all!

How are you playing to the IFI? Connected to a computer? What is the OS? How is it connected?

There is a driver for windows you might need that. If on Mac or IOS you won’t get native DSD as they don’t support it, only via DoP and that will be limited to DSD128 as the PCM rate isn’t high enough to encapsulate it any higher.

Hello I use Roon to my Mac OS. IFI is connected to my computer.
I can play 128 DSD but not 256.

For mac there is no driver for go link only to windows as I see.

So there is no way from diver or something to get DSD256 from any dac to my mac? Only PCM and DSD128?

Thank you

Read what I said above. Macs do not support native DSD only DoP (DSD over PCM). DoP rates are limited by the max PCM of the DAC. The go only does 384 so you can’t get higher than DSD128 as it’s always 2x the DSD rate required for DoP. Your dac would need to go as high as 512/24 to manage this. DSD256 is only possible via Windows and the supplied ASIO driver.

As Crystal said. MAC OS does not do.native dsd. Windows does with the manufacturers driver.

Thank you very much for your answers!

Thankful for your help!
