Describe the issue

I have a Nucleus and three remotes: an iMac, iPhone, & iPad. A week ago after updating to Seqouia 15.3 operating system, my iMac stopped connecting to Nucleus. Message is "Waiting for your Roon Server".

iPhone and iPad still connect without any problems.

I purchased the new iMac in December 2023 and have not had any connection issues until last week.

I checked the Firewall settings on iMac and see both Roon and RAATServer.exe, so don’t think this is a firewall problem.

I have booted both iMac and Nucleus which has not resolved the problem.

Describe your network setup

I have a Nucleus with three remotes: an iMac, an iPad, and an iPhone. iMac is connected via ethernet. iPhone and iPad are connected via WiFi.

I read the comment chain on the referenced link. The tried the suggested solution (go to local network and uncheck Roon and check it again). It resolved my problem. My iMac now connects to Roon. Thanks for the help.

Steve, that may be more helpful than you think: many users experienced the phenomenon when first upgrading to Sequoia (macOS 15.n). I did not.

It seemed as though most users on 15.1 and 15.2 who did experience it but fixed it using the toggle trick stopped needing to do that when 15.3 was released.

It looks now as though there are exceptions, though.

Indeed, there was at least one other case, too. Though I wonder if it might be needed one last time for some, so that macOS properly saves it. (And not happen every time after a reboot or update like with 15.0-15.2). Would be interesting if @Steve_Sennewald could monitor whether it stays on from here on.
