Gosh! You do need to give a bit more information for us to try and help you. What device? What are you running Roon on? Details about your network? Has it ever worked? Does it work with other devices?
I have an Auralic Aries G2.1 Transporter. The roon app is not finding the device.
Have you turned on Roon via Lightning DS and rebooted your Aries?
Could you describe your server?

I am not seeing any Roon Server tied to your account. Please note that the Auralic G2.1 is an audio endpoint, and it cannot run Roon Server duties. To see how Roon needs to be set up, please look over the below guide:

now something works! I have installed my desktop Mac computer as server and it works. This is not ideal though because it has to be turned on all the time.
Can you tell me other ways to install a server, maybe in the cloud or so?

Unfortunately there is no way to set up Roon in the cloud. You need a physical computer to run Roon. There are plenty of options if you don’t want to use your current Mac computer but they would all involve buying another computer. If you want to follow that route we can give you guidance on what hardware you’ll need for your use case. However I would recommend deciding whether you want to keep Roon past your trial period before buying a computer for it.

I could attach a haredisc to my Auralic streamer. Would that work? My Auralic streamer can work as a server.

Sorry, but your Auralic streamer can work as a DLNA server using the Auralic app, but it cannot run Roon Server. It was never designed to do so.

Glad to hear you got this working! If you’d like to take Roon off your Mac and have a dedicated Roon Server, you can opt for a Nucleus One, or if you have DIY PC experience, then a ROCK server is great. I’ll post a few articles below in case you’d like to learn more!

it is very costly for me to get a server and in addition pay for Roon. I don’t have multi rooms to operate. I like the Roon app, missing the auto play option though and I cannot put the auralic device in sleep mode.
So, I think I unfortunately quit Roon!
