I can’t connect to my roon device

Hello @Terry_Allen

We would like to help, but there is not enough in your report for us to work with yet. Could you please fill in some detail?

1. What exactly cannot connect? “My Roon device” could mean a few different things, and they have different causes:

Your Roon app cannot find your Roon Server
A speaker or streamer is missing from your list of audio zones
Roon ARC will not connect when you are away from home

2. What is your Roon Server running on? For example a Nucleus, a ROCK machine, a Mac, a Windows PC, or a NAS.

3. What are you using to control Roon, and what does the screen actually say? A screenshot is ideal.

4. When did this start, and did anything change around that time? A Roon update, a new router, or new equipment.

5. Has it ever worked, or is this a new setup?

One more thing, and it may turn out to be the whole answer. You mentioned using your Xfinity router alongside a personal router. Please tell us which router your Roon Server is plugged into, and which one the device you are controlling Roon from is connected to. If they are on different routers, they are probably on separate networks, and Roon needs everything on the same one. Two routers in series is also a common cause of connection problems generally.

Once we have that, we can give you something specific rather than a list of guesses.
