Hello @jomoohyung,

Thank you for reaching Roon support.

We’ve run into a bit of a mystery: your server is now reporting an IP address of 10.0.0.155.

In your initial report, you mentioned your home network was 192.168.123.1.

Because these two sets of numbers are from different “subnets,” your Roon Remote (phone or tablet) likely can’t see the Server even though it’s technically online. It’s like the Server moved to a different floor in the building, and the Remote is still looking in the old room.

To understand why your server is getting a 10.0.0.x address instead of a 192.168.123.x one, could you please describe your Network Topology?

  • What is the model of your main Internet Modem/Router?
  • Do you have a second router or a Mesh system (like Eero, Nest, or Orbi) plugged into that modem?
  • Which device is your Roon Server physically plugged into?

It’s possible you have two different devices both trying to assign addresses to your network (a situation called “Double NAT”), which is causing this confusion. Once we know the “map” of your gear, we can help you get everything onto the same page.

Looking forward to those details!

Hi @jomoohyung,

We’re not able to confirm from our diagnostic servers whether or not you’ve resolved this issue. What do you currently see when you open Roon?

Please also share a little about your network environment. Are you relying on a mesh network? Where is your Roon Server connected to the network, and is it hardwired via ethernet?

We’ll watch for your reply. Thank you!

We recommend taking a look at our network best practices to ensure your network setup and topology aren’t interfering with Roon.

We also recommend you verify that your network is on a single subnet, since Roon’s commands won’t cross VLANs/subnets.
