Inability to Set Up Local Radio Stations in Roon on Windows 11 (ref#DY2V24)

What’s happening?

Describe the issue

I have just set up Roon on a windows 11 Desktop as a trial. My Music library appears to be working fine but I have been unable to set up any live radio stations. I have tried searching for local stations within "25 Kms" but it only lists overseas stations, not our local Tauranga stations. I have tried searching by station name but it finds nothing. I have tried seaching by Location but that only does by New Zealand and I need local Tauranga stations. I have tried entering TuneIN stations but they do not work.

This is a show stopper for us as we use both local and internet stations. Two "must haves" are the Breeze Tauranga and Gaia FM also a local Tauranga station.

What am I doing wrong?
Regards
Tony

Describe your network setup

Router is a TP-Link Archer Ax23
Computer is a Dell Inspiron AIO DT5490
Sound output are a series of Sonos speakers

Those two stations are not currently set up in Roon’s Live Radio catalog. There are two things you can do.

  1. Request Roon to add the stations. Post your request in the Live Radio section of the forum: https://community.roonlabs.com/c/roon/live-radio/80. It will usually be completed within a day (sometimes within hours).
  2. Manually add the two live stations to your personal Roon library. In the Roon main menu, under the MY LIBRARY section, open My Live Radio. Tap on + Add Station, then tap on the Add Station URL button. For the URL, you can enter the Tunein link:
    https://tunein.com/radio/The-Breeze-Tauranga-95-s321626/
    https://tunein.com/radio/Gaia-FM-886-s121449/

Hello @ajpb24 , I happened to see this post and so I have added

The Breeze Tuaranga
Gaia FM

for you. Please check if OK.

(Moved thread to Roon Software Discussion > Live Radio )

PS When you search, use the top right magnifying glass and hit return. Don’t use the one below - it’s only a filter.

Just a note:
I corrected the spelling on the station name, so you can search be “The Breeze Tauranga”
and as Brian noted make sure to use the “search” as a pposed to the “filter”:

I tested both stations and they are working here in the USA.

Thanks for your quick responses. I had actually managed to set them up, using TuneIN, late last night and was going to add to my post this morning (its currently just after 7:00 am down here at the bottom of the world)

No problem - others can enjoy them now too.
