Incorrect Logo Displayed for Devialet Ultimate Stereo Pair in Roon (ref#4IYO2Y)

Hi! What’s not quite right with Roon?

· None of the above quite fits

None of the above quite fits

· App interface looks or behaves oddly

Tell us what's going on

· Hi, I have one Devialet Phantom I Stereo pair and one Devialet Ultimate Stereo pair. Now I am wondering, why Roon shows as logo for the Devialet Ultimate Stereo pair only one speaker and not two speakers like at the Devialet Phantom I.

Maybe you can give me a hint, maybe Roon doesn’t recognize my stereo pair as stereo…?

I think Roon just chose the wrong logo, because music is playing in stereo.

Trompet

Tell us about your home network

· I am using a AMV Fritzbox 5690 Pro. Roon server runs on my Nucleus Plus.
Roon server and all of my Devialet Phantom speakers are in the same private network. All of dem are wired connected to my network - no WiFi.

Hello @Trompetfish,

Thank you for reaching out to Roon Support.

Based on our internal device database, only the Phantom Ultimate 108 dB Stereo model is associated with an image showing two dynamic drivers.

Could you please confirm whether this is the exact device you’re using?
Once confirmed, we can advise further if needed.

Hi, yes I am using Phantom Ultimate 108dB Stereo System. Now I am wondering why the symbol in Roon only shows one Devialet Ultimate 108 dB an d not two of them, like the symbol of Devialet Phantom I Stereo System…

Hello @Trompetfish,

Thank you for confirming the model.

This behavior is related to how this device was originally certified and registered in Roon’s device database. The Devialet Phantom Ultimate 108 dB Stereo system was certified based on Phantom 95dB Stereo

The icon itself does not reflect channel count or stereo capability — it’s purely cosmetic. Since playback is working in proper stereo, Roon is recognizing the pair correctly from an audio perspective.

That said, sometimes outdated endpoint metadata can be cached locally. As a next step, please try clearing the endpoint cache to force Roon to refresh the device metadata:

  1. Create a fresh backup
  2. Stop Roon (or RoonServer)
  3. Find and open your Roon / RoonServer folder
    https://help.roonlabs.com/portal/en/kb/articles/database-location
  4. Navigate to:
    /Roon/Database/Registry/Core/
  5. Delete all files in this directory
  6. Restart Roon

Please note: deleting these files will:

  • log you out of TIDAL / Qobuz
  • reset endpoint names
  • remove saved DSP configurations

If this does not change the icon behavior, please restore the backup you created before these steps.

Should the issue persist after that, we’ll escalate this internally to review whether the device artwork should be updated for this model.

Let us know how it goes, and thank you for your patience.

Hi Vadim,

Thank You for the description of the possible solution.

I did every step as you described with my Nucleus + RoonServer, but it had no effect to the shown single speaker logo for my Devialet Phantom Ultimate stereo pair….

This Speakermodel is only some months on the market.
Maybe that is the reason, that a logo showing two speakers is simply not cerated yet.

If possible please start your investigation as you mentioned before.

Best Regards
Hubert

Hi @Trompetfish,

One additional area to investigate - are you running the latest firmware version on the Ultimate? If so, see if you’re able to reinstall it. Then, safely stop Roon Server and reboot your server machine.

Let me know if this helps - thank you!
