Denafrips ARES II DAC connected to Innuos via USB

Description Of Issue

Just swapped my Benchmark DAC3 HGC with a Denafrips ARES II using the exact same connections. Using my iPad, I am unable to find my Denafrips DAC in Settings>>Audio so I can set up a Zone. I am still able to see and select my existing Node 2 zone.

Any idea as to what I am missing?

Thanks,

Nick

User error - Denafrips was not in USB mode!

Sorry and please close.

And how do you like your new DAC? How does it sound compared to the Benchmark? Do you hear a difference?

Andreas,

I was using the Benchmark as both a preamp and DAC. A Supratek Chardonnay preamp is being shipped to me today. Once I receive it, I will be able stream music again.

The Benchmark has been sold. I won’t be able to really compare just the DACs since I will also be introducing a tube preamp at the same time.

Thanks,

Nick
