· I want to clean the fan of my nucleus one, is there a guide to safely opening the nucleus one to clean the fan?

I don’t know. Just spitballin’. Maybe a can, or two, of compressed air from your local computer store?
Hah, good humor. I meant more like a guide to opening up the Nucleus One casing safely so I could use my compressed air. I ended up just taking all the screws off and opened the main top part off then there was a second metal enclosure to remove and then it was all easily accessible.
I was actually quite impressed with build quality. Cleaning the fan was trivial, and I am pretty shocked to note that the entire inside was clean. I had it in one of our entertainment center shelves which gets pretty dusty yet the nucleus one was super clean inside.
I think the fan is very rarely “sucking the dust in” in those machines, they run pretty cool nowadays!

That’s a fair question, and it’s useful to know you were able to open it up and get the fan cleaned.
For Nucleus One hardware, there isn’t a published service guide for user disassembly, so we generally recommend only removing the outer cover for routine maintenance and leaving deeper internal access to us or an authorized service path. If you’re ever unsure about the safest way to get inside a Nucleus, we can help based on the exact revision you have.
Since you’ve already confirmed the inside was clean, the main thing we’d want to know now is whether you were seeing any fan noise, overheating, or shutdown behavior, or if this was purely preventative maintenance.

So I noticed after swapping to unifi network at home that my roon performance was slower in terms of an album loading for playback from my nucleus one ssd. So I checked Reddit and other areas to make my network settings better for roon, and then I decided to do preventative maintenance for the fan.
No heat issues no fan sound I just figured that I got the nucleus one right after release and my warranty just lapsed so I figured I may as well see if the fan cleaning would help. turns out…the nucleus one was incredibly clean inside, and the build quality of the inside was much nicer than I figured for the price, I didn’t expect that metal roon stamped cover that slides over the inside, that was nice.
Anywho, it was more the network settings that fixed stuff, the inside was super clean the fan had barely any dust accumulated. thanks for your response!
