Describe the issue

Subject: recommended wifi mesh-equipment. Text: Hi! I have a lifetime subscription for Roon, running the Roon core on an Intel nuc i7. I will use this with a Linn Selekt Edition Hub that will be delivered to me shortly. I'm currently also in the process of moving to a new house and I have to install a new high performance wifi-mesh-network that can handle my new 300 square meter house. I'm looking for new high performance mesh equipment that works both with my Linn equipment and with the Roon system. I've received a recommendation for TP-Link Deco BE65 / BE9300 Whole Home Mesh Wi-Fi 7 System (https://www.webhallen.com/se/product/378495-TP-Link-Deco-BE65-BE9300-Whole-Home-Mesh-Wi-Fi-7-System-2-pack) from my IT-dealer. Do you have any recommendation for mesh-equipment (router+satellites) that will work well with Roon? Do you think the suggested TP Link Deco-equipment will do? I have also sent a question to my local Linn retailer regarding if the TP Link Deco-system will work with my Linn equipment, but haven't got their reply yet. Your feedback regarding this matter will be most helpful and appreciated! Best regards, Mats Goffhé, Sweden

Adding to the above: I have discovered that it _might_ be possible to use the existing router and mesh-satellites in the house. The equiptment is: one Netgear Orbi Pro router SRR60 connected to two Netgear Orbi Pro Satellite SRS60. Is this in line with recommendations from Roon?

Good day @Mats_G !

I hope you’re doing well today.

Roon itself does not have any requirements for specific mesh system model.

Just the bandwidth and its technical capabilities are important.

Deco Mesh system you have share with us looks pretty decent candidate from a technical point of view. I can say it is a nice choice.

Your current Orbi Router also seem to match the requirements.

If you want to maintain the best connection it is good decision to keep the Roon Server wired via ethernet to the main router and if possible your audio endpoints too.

Let us know please should you have more questions!

Regards.

Hi Alex and thank you for your informative answer!
Good to know the rules of the game so to speak!
Thanks again and have a nice weekend!
Best regards
Mats
