Situation: I have a Platin Stereo Hub HT.
I’m using 2 streamers for Roon: the built-in one and the second is Ropieee running a Raspberry Pi 4 connected to the USB port of the hub.
Although using the same muse presets and settings, I do get different signal paths. In one case it is High quality (green dot); in the other case it is enhanced (blue star).
Any one can enlighten me where the diff comes from?
Sorry, the pictures are not in the correct order. The first picture follows the second picture (green). And I’m doing the same dsp in both cases, at least that’s what I think I’m doing.

Ah yes, I see now, sorry my bad.
I wonder if this is because the Platin Stereo Hub on its own is not reporting all of its actions to Roon correctly hence the high-quality green dot only?
Both are probably doing the same DSP work as shown by the processing speed being similar.
The green dot is present because the Platin Stereo Hub is performing a sample rate conversion from 44.1 to 96 KHz, whereas the RPi4 running Ropieee isn’t preforming such a function. I think I’m correcting in saying that when such a conversion takes place outside of Muse (as is the case with the Platin Stereo Hub) it shows as a “high quality” rather than “enhanced”.
I think you are basically correct, but it it seems that it’s not the upsampling that causes the green “High Quality” nomination, Roon seems to think that the final transmission from the Platinum Hub upsample and WiSA wireless link is lossy.
Whatever the reason, there are two differences in the signal paths:
One of them has a Volume levelling active (does not cause geeen dot)’
The significant difference is that the Ropieee device acts as the Roon endpoint and reports back the capabilities you either set, or what may have been reported back when a USB attached audio device/DAC is connected.
Basically, the Ropieee transfer should likely have a gren dot as well, as i suppose the speakers are getting the audio signal in a similar way in the end.(But Ropiee is not aware)
