j'ai eu grand plaisir à tester ROON server, mais j'ai rencontré 2 problèmes qui sont peut être un hasard
- sur mon MAC M3 Tahoe 26.2, de nombreux problèmes d'arrêt du service et même de la connexion internet .... depuis, j'ai trouvé un bug (dû à MAC OS) d'interférence avec ma livebox 7 ...
en cours de traitement

- j'ai installé Roon Server sur un ancien mac book air ; tout a bien fonctionné jusqu'à l'arrêt complet de cet ordinateur, brutalement au milieu d'une écoute ..... l'appareil soufflait beaucoup du ventilateur et a peutêtre trop chauffé


je reprends donc les tests de tout cet équipement audio (pour l'instant j'utilise nirvana, mais ma préférence va à Roon .....)

je vais :
- réinstaller roon sur le mac M3 (après avoir inhibé la connexion IPV6 sur la livebox, connexion qui semble poser des problèmes avec Tahoe ...... )
- porter le mac book air au réparateur si le devis proposé est raisonnable)

We would love to help you resolve this, but we need a few more details to understand exactly what is happening.

Could you please clarify the following?

  • The Content: Does playback stop for local files, streaming services (Tidal/Qobuz), or both?
  • The Scope: Does this happen on all of your zones (including "System Output" on your Mac), or is it isolated to a specific audio device?
  • Timestamps: If possible, please let us know the exact local time (e.g., 14:30) when the problem next occurs. This will help us find the relevant events in your logs.
Regarding macOS connectivity: Many users on macOS encounter issues due to "Local Network" privacy permissions. Even if they look correct, toggling them can often reset the permission and fix the issue.

Please try this quick reset:

  1. Open System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network.
  2. Find Roon and Roon Server in the list.
  3. Toggle them OFF and back ON. (This forces macOS to re-register the permission).
Any additional details you can provide will help us get to the bottom of this.

actually, I had recently got several items on my Mac computer, regarding File Vault, livebox modem, perhaps Surfshark onterfgerences …..

I have reset all the configurations and I re-installed Roon server on this MAc yesterday

up to now, everythings seems to work well ….

I’ll let you know if I encounter new problems :grinning_face:

As for my second problem (mac book air that crashed after intensive use of roon server - but probably a coincidence - ) nothing new : I don’t know yet if I”ll have this device fixed

this use would allow to connect my Roon server through a DAC directly to my amplifier, and get rid of the wifi network …. that’s why I need thos second computer …

Thanks for letting us know that everything appears to be working as expected again. Regarding the crashes, can you kindly let us know the exact local date + time when you next observe this behavior? We’ll enable diagnostics for your account and see if there’s a specific error in the logging.
