Thought I’d share this with you lot. Looks neat and appears to be iPhone MagSafe compatible.
Yes, but very misleading in the way it’s presented.
Shows an iPhone and claims to offer LDAC and aptX HD, which are two reason I would buy this.
If you read their forum, Khadas admit that LDAC and aptX HD are NOT available on iPhone.
Pretty shady if you ask me, they should really change the imagery to an Android based device.
I guess they’re merely using the iPhone to show the MagSafe compatibility and the rather similar design.
The LDAC and aptX will only apply to Android users.
That is not a Khadas issue that Apple doesn’t want to license better codecs. Anyone involved in buying Bluetooth devices knows that Apple really uses it’s one protocols and is stuck at 256KB because of this.
Hopefully soon they will come out with a new Apple only service to update this.
LDAC is excellent and I have a couple of headphones that support it.
Neat looking device Raz thanks for sharing
Indeed it is. Curious how much it will cost. Just got confirmation it will also have an internal battery which is obviously great.
Thanks that sounds like they want to make a real and successful HiFi start in the mobile Android world with only 74 grams and best technology together with Spotify and other market participants. As with Apple, we will only judge what really comes in terms of sound after the launch. I have seen more marketing than real solutions there so far. If you maintain your own eco system, you should not be surprised when other technical answers come and customers will compare.
I am aware, and also have headphones and source that support LDAC.
My point was more that many people don’t read the small print so when a manufacturer lists certain codecs with a picture a specific device, Joe Average will assume that device will support those codecs.
Seems underhand to show a device which doesn’t and can’t support the specs, when there are plenty of devices that do.
The audiophile world is very small indeed.
Maybe I just expect it as it is marketing after all. They generally all work, but are not optimised to give the best experience…
I also assuming 50% plus just throw money at Apple (not audiophiles), so maybe I am the wrong person to respond as my response is probably not typical.
I guess this is what we’ll need now since LG will no longer be making phones.
