Describe the issue

I am having a repeated problem. I can play music but the Roon Ap says it cannot find the Nucleus. This dfrop out happens frequently (every five minutes)

Describe your network setup

I am using a Roon Nucleus that is hard wired to a Virgin Media Router. It is also hard wired to a Lumin X running Roon software.

Hi @Paul_Unwin1 ,

I am looking over your account and I was able to enable diagnostics mode for the Nucleus so that I can review the logging. I checked the logs for a failing SSD, which could cause this symptom, but there don’t appear to be any SSD integrity errors that I can see. What is most likely happening here is network-related.

Have you tried a different Ethernet cable and port on the router? If not, can you give this a try? Also please note that we have often seen issues surrounding ISP-provided gear, as routers that ISPs use are usually bottom-of-the-barrel in terms of performance. You’ll likely have a much better long-term Roon experience if you use the ISP router in bridge mode and have your own personal consumer-grade router alongside it.
