Intermittent connection to Grimm MU2 with 'Waiting for Roon Server' message (ref#42YIJT)

Is Roon Server running?

· Yes, Roon Server is turned on and running.

What do you see on your screen?

· "Waiting for your Roon Server"

What happens if you press the "Select a different Roon Server" button?

· I see my Roon Server, but I still can't connect.

When you try to connect, what screen do you see?

· Just the Roon logo

Please try to restart your Roon Server by closing the Roon app in the taskbar or rebooting your Roon Server machine.

Please try to restart your network setup by unplugging, waiting 30 seconds and then replugging in your networking gear.

Please select how you've connected your Roon Server to the internet

· Roon Server is connected by *Ethernet*

Have you checked your firewall settings to ensure that Roon is allowed through?

· Roon still won't connect even after checking this aspect

Have you verified that Roon Server is on the same subnet as your Remotes?

· My Remotes and Server are on the same subnet and I still can't connect

Sometimes the issues can be resolved with a reinstall of your Roon Remote app. Let's try to perform a reinstall and see if it helps.

What is the operating system of your Roon Server host machine?

Roon starts then stops and "Waiting for Roon Server" then back to roon then back to "waiting for roon server". I can see my server Grimm MU2 but can't stay connected and play music

Does this issue happen on all your remote devices? If you could, please bring one of the remote devices online and we’ll require a fresh diagnostic report to review further.

It may be helpful to access the webUI of your Grimm machine and perform a RoonOS reinstall - let me know if this is something you’d be able to test.

Forget it. I reset the entire device. I lost everything I had created on roon but it works now. Grimm may also incorporate tidal/Qobuz connect which will make roon issue a non-issue

I’m glad you were able to get things back up and running, but sorry to hear you’ve lost your prior work - do you have any recent backups you may be able to restore from?
