Describe the issue

Waiting for Roon Server > connection to Nucleus keeps starting then stops, doesn’t connect
Ethernet cable to Nucleus is working 100% - tested speed
Nucleus was working earlier

Describe your network setup

EE Fibre - ethernet to Nucleus (confirmed speed is 900mb on that cable) - EE Fibre was upgraded 3 weeks ago, but zero issues until today

On the “Connect to your Roon Server” logon, the status light goes from green (ready) and then flashes red (initialising) > back to green and is never constant

Then connects and page flashes as its dropping connection, no stability at all

Decided to a full reinstall by resetting Roon Database & Settings in the web app

After reinstalling latest backup, we seem to be back up and running again.

Not clear if this was the case but opened an old Macbook Pro that Roon Server was prev installed before Nucleus arrived, it went through an software update and suggest that could have been the time the connection to the Nucleus started having issues, couldn’t connect to either

Deleted the Macbook Roon server >

Deleted the main Roon executable in Applications to Bin

In the Library folder (Finder > press ALT > Go > Library) of your user profile, deleted the following folders:
RAATServer
Roon
Saved Application State/com.roon.Roon.savedState
Caches/com.roonlabs.raat

Hopefully all good now

Hi @r.guy.kendall,

Thanks for the detailed update, and I am glad the system is back up after the reset and restore. Looking over the diagnostics associated with your account, it does look like the Nucleus was reporting some networking issues earlier on, but hopefully the reinstall sorted it out. Should the issues recur, please let us know by opening a new thread or letting us know here and unchecking the solution checkbox. Thank you!

Thank you!
