Reporting a Bug related to Android Native Play/Pause Control Not Working Intermittently

Description of Issue

I noticed for several builds now including B192 that the built in Android Play/Pause controls don’t work intermittently. Using the notification shade controls to play and pause will not work from time to time. Moreover, when this issue manifests music will continue to play over a notification such as GPS prompts when this happens. To mitigate I can force stop ARC and the issue will go away for a while but will crop back up. I’m on the latest Android 13 QPR3 on a Pixel 6 Pro. Play/Pause does work properly from within ARC when this happens. This issue seems to happen randomly and the only fix is a force stop of ARC.

I previously reported this here B182 ARC Android Native Play/Pause Control Not Working Intermittently - #4 by Kersten_Kusch and others did have this issue as well. Roon staff did not reply to my thread. @support

Is this fixed in B205 of ARC. The release notes say it is fixed for Roon Remote. I’m wondering if the same applies to ARC and the omission from the patch notes was an oversight?

This is not yet fixed on ARC B205.

@oleksandr So far things seem better with B207. Can you confirm if this was addressed? Overall ARC seems much more stable with B205-207.

Nevermind, I had it happen again on B207.

@oleksandr @ivan
I just want to highlight this ticket as I think this happens at the same time as the issues with music playing over notifications.

@oleksandr Will this ever be fixed? Can you please provide an update?
