· The Nucleus boots up and I can connect to it in the Roon app without issue, but I have a question about configuration/storage/attached devices

Describe the issue

I lose network connection with Nucleus One when playing music and I get the message "Waiting for your Roon Server... and then "Uh oh, something's not right". But suddenly I get connected again. It continues like this and I can't listen to music anymore.

“Waiting for your Roon Server” that comes and goes during playback is almost always the network path between the remote and the server rather than the Nucleus itself failing, so it’s worth narrowing that before anything else.

A few things that usually isolate it quickly:

Does it also drop when the remote is a different device (phone vs laptop)? If only one remote drops, it’s that device’s Wi-Fi power saving or roaming between access points, not the server.

Is the Nucleus on wired ethernet? If it’s on Wi-Fi, put it on a cable for a test — it’s the single biggest fix for this symptom.

If you have mesh Wi-Fi or two access points with the same SSID, the remote can roam mid-track and lose the server for a few seconds. Test by staying put next to one AP.

Also check that the Nucleus and the remote are on the same subnet, and that any “client isolation”/guest network setting is off, since Roon needs devices to see each other directly.

If it survives all that, note whether the drop happens on specific tracks or specific endpoints — if it’s tied to one zone or to high-rate files, that points at the endpoint instead of the network.

Hello @kjetilbergseth

I think the next step here is to enable some diagnostics on your account so our technical staff can get some more insight into what’s going on here.

However, before I enable this feature, I’d like to ask for your help ensuring we gather the right information.

First, can you please reproduce the issue once more and note the time at which the error occurs. Then respond here with that time, and I’ll make sure we review the diagnostics related to that timestamp.

Hi, and thanks for the advices.
As an additional info, I can say that the ARC on the phone is working properly, so then it´s probably a network issue?

The connection drops on all my devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac etc)
The Nucleus is wired to the main router, but from there it is wireless to all devices.

I have now followed your advice to only have one access point, and it seems to have helped.
I will test now for a couple of days to see if that is what was needed to solve the problem.

Thanks.

Sounds good @kjetilbergseth thanks for the update! We’ll be monitoring for your reply and results.
