Hi @Jon_Schneider,

Thanks for reaching out to the Roon Labs Technical Support team. I’m sorry to hear you’re running into issues with your Roon Server. We’ll need a bit more information to troubleshoot effectively.

As a first step, in the screenshot you shared, do you see the light gray text that says “Select a different Roon Server”? Try clicking that. It should bring up a list of Roon Servers available on your local network. Do you see your server in that list? If so, try selecting it and let us know what happens.

If that doesn’t resolve the issue, please let us know how your Nucleus is connected to your router? Is it a direct Ethernet connection or is there other network hardware like a switch in between?

Once we have this information, we can investigate further.

After numerous trials and errors, I finally got the Nucleus running. Every time Roon connected, it would disconnect, with the message “Waiting for Roon Server.” At first, it seemed the issue was that it was trying to connect to both my Roon iMac Server (which I deauthorized when I switched to the Nucleus) and the Nucleus, which it had never done before. So, I trashed the Roon App on my iMac and powered it off, but the issue persisted. I then connected to the web interface, reinstalled the OS, reset the server, and finally reset the Database and settings. It continued to disconnect with the same error message multiple times. I then tried playing my music, not Qoboz. That worked perfectly, so after a while, I tried Qoboz again, and it finally worked! Honestly, it was a frustrating experience, something I thought I would no longer experience when I purchased the Nucleus.

Hi @Jon_Schneider,

Thanks for letting us know what happened. To make sure the issue is fully resolved, I’ll leave this thread open for now. If your Nucleus stays stable over the next few days, we can be reasonably confident that things are back on track.

Let us know if anything changes in the meantime.

Hi @Jon_Schneider,

We’re going to allow this thread to automatically close, but moving forward, we recommend ensuring that your Orbi network has the correct settings enabled to support multicast forwarding. This will allow device discovery traffic to travel more freely between RoonServer and your Remotes.

Please see this guide, specifically the subsection on unchecking “Disable IGMP Proxying.”

Thanks and happy listening!
