Since you’re running into audio endpoints losing connection in combination with stoppages in playback, we’ll need to investigate your network setup closer.
Set up a direct ethernet connection from your Roon Server to your primary router - along with one of your endpoints. Reboot your router, and test playback and general connection.
Hi I tried as described, and by bypassing the patch panel and the QNAP QSW-2104-2T-A it worked flawlessly.
Took at about 10:55 local time and reconnected the QNAP QSW switch and then the album "The Montreux years stops and had one smal pauses after I started the track again.
This would point to the patch panel potentially causing network throttling to take place, leading to stoppages and issues with playback.
As a next step, I’d get in touch with the manufacturer directly and inquire why this may be occurring, and if you’re able to make adjustments to eliminate such issues.
