Is your mini connected directly to your router? If not I would start there.
Tx. Yes it is. I have had Roon for over 7 years. All the obvious issues have been addressed. The original support request was closed after only 24 h
ours of implementing the suggested solution. Not enough time to determine if an intermittent problem is cured.
I noticed that Qobuz was set to 192ksamples/sec of which all end points ere capable of supporting. I have dropped it down to 96 and lowered end points in non critical locations to 48. Again today it is working flawlessly supporting streaming to 3 different zones simultaneously but last night the system was having all kinds of issues maintaining uninterrupted streaming.
Hi @Drew_Wilson,
Thanks for writing in to ask us about this issue. I think the next step here is to enable some diagnostics on your account so our technical staff can get some more insight into what’s going on here.
However, before I enable this feature, I’d like to ask for your help ensuring we gather the right information.
First, can you please reproduce the issue once more and note the time at which the error occurs. Then respond here with that time, and I’ll make sure we review the diagnostics related to that timestamp.
Hi Daniel,
at around the same time you sent me an email at 4:43 EST the Roon Server on the MacMini stopped working. It had run flawlessly for over 30 hours up until 4:43 EST. When I received a message Starting audio on your playback device. This might take a moment. Nothing would play so I closed and reopened Roon Server. Then No audio devices found.
I have tried everything to get it back up, rebooted the MacMini, rebooted the Rogers Hitron cable modem, power down both, etc. nothing is working. The error message is “No audio devices found”, yet I have confirmed that the computer is on the internet and the Roon Endpoints are also on the network.
Did you make a change perhaps?
Drew
Daniel I turned OFF Full Disk Access to “Roon” and restarted Roon. It then found my audio end points! Should Full Disk Access be on or off to Roon? Drew
Daniel. Now the problem has returned. No audio devices found. Very frustrating!’
I found the issue in Roon Support. Toggling Local Network Access for Roon and then restarting Roon solved the issue. I look forward to Apple fixing the issue.
