Intermittent streaming issues with Qobuz and Tidal (ref#38F5U8)

Hi @Abrahams_Bogere,

Thanks for the timestamp. We can see your previous track finished and Roon Server moved on to “Don’t Answer The Door” from Marilyn Manson. Roon Server asked Qobuz for the streaming URL, and Qobuz answered in under half a second with a normal, successful response that contained no URL. With nothing to play, the zone stops and you see “Track not available from Qobuz.” Your next six play attempts got the same empty answer. When you moved on to a different artist at 9:15 PM it started instantly.

This one isn’t your network

The request didn’t hang or time out, it came back in under 450 ms, and across your whole log set none of these requests timed out. When we asked Qobuz about that album directly, Qobuz returned 404 “No result matching given argument.” That album had been pulled from their catalog.

You proved it yourself an hour later: at 10:32 PM you opened a different edition of the album and played that same song with no trouble, straight through to 11 PM. Same account, same Wiim Ultra, same network. The 24/96 edition you had queued was simply gone from Qobuz, while Roon Server was still holding the old track IDs.

What to do: if that older edition is in your library as a favorite, remove it and re-add the current one, otherwise it will fail every time, because those track IDs are gone for good on Qobuz’s side.

To be straight with you, this doesn’t confirm the IPv6/DNS/router theory, so I don’t want to close the book on it. The behavior you described earlier, the pause, then the eventual load or skip, doesn’t appear anywhere in these logs. Next time it happens in that older form, please grab us a timestamp. It’s a different signature and we’ll look at it separately.
