I am transferring from a Windows Roon server to a NUC roon Rock server. When I go to the Web UI, under Internal Storage it says, “not ready” and to format.
This is the same SSD/library I used previously. Do I need to format the SSD and load all of the music back onto it?
I loaded my back up files to the new install and I’m finding it difficult to map to storage sources (adding new folders).
Yes, I’m afraid you do. RoonOS will demand that the internal 2.5" SSD be formatted before it can be used for music storage.
The ROCK Storage Basics article states this:
- The internal drive is formatted from the web interface when you first set up ROCK, so you won’t be able pre-load music onto the drive – you’ll start with an empty drive, and copy your music over later
