Hi. I’m using NUC10i7FNH (RAM 8GB, M.2 SSD 512GB) and the OS is ROCK. I currently have a NAS with 4TB music files connected to this device.
I’m trying to install an internal SSD on my NUC10i7FNH to store music files and use it with my NAS.
I know there is no limit on the capacity of the internal SSD, but I’m worried that using an SSD that is too large for this device I have will degrade performance.
Could you please tell me what is the proper SSD storage capacity?
And which of the external SSD, internal SSD or NAS has better sound quality?
A larger ssd will not degrade performance. Get 4tb or 8tb depending on your need for growth.
Don’t forget you will need a separate SSD for the ROCK OS and Roon Library, that only needs to be small say 128 Gb . The OS cannot be on the music file SSD
