Thank you for your post. We’ll need a little more information in order to take effective action here, since the Nucleus One so far hasn’t responded to our server requests for diagnostic logging.

At your convenience, please use the directions found here to locate and compress (zip) the Logs folder within your RoonServer database folder. You can use thisFile Uploader to securely upload the logset.

Please also verify the following to help us pinpoint what’s wrong:

  1. Is there a specific error message within Roon when internet radio fails to play?

  2. Does this problem occur with every Zone?

  3. Have you tried reassigning the DNS service in your router? This can sometimes prevent failures with live radio. Usually, your router settings page will have a dedicated tab to assign a custom DNS server. We recommend Cloudflare (1.1.1.1), QuadNine (9.9.9.9) or Google (8.8.8.8).

We’ll watch for your reply. Once we have a set of logs, we should be able to identify the failure right away.

In response to your questions:

1. When I try and select an internet radio station, any station, the response I get is “Unable to play this station…”

2. By “zone” I assume you mean streaming to a multi-room set-up. I don’t do this. I use Roon only in my living room stereo system

3. I tried reassigning the DNS server to Google (8.8.8.8) and that was a complete fiasco. Right now I can access Quboz and albums I’ve copied to the M2 storage card I installed in the Roon Nucleus one. Only the internet radio stations suddenly stopped working. When I reassigned the DNS server to Google, I lost everything. I had to revert back to the automatic settings

I can be computer challenged. Sometime this weekend, I will have to research how to locate, compress and upload the files you requested

They’re not.

Qobuz and music library functioning normally, but still no internet radio stations.

Still get the “unable to play this station” message with all radio stations

Thanks for the update! If you’re still having issues, it likely has a separate root cause. We’re not seeing your server online at this time, could you please use the directions found here and send over a set of Roon Server logs to our File Uploader? Once logs have been uploaded, please let us know so that we can check the server for your files, thanks!
