Internet Radio stops after 2 songs – custom URL[Ticket in]

Hi, I’m using Roon with a custom internet radio stream:

http://176.9.7.145:8311/stream

It plays for 2 songs and then stops. I have to manually hit “Play” again.

The stream plays fine in VLC and other players without interruption.

I’ve already restarted the Roon Core and added the station manually, but the problem persists.

Any idea how to fix or workaround this?

Could you please clarify the following so we can better assist you?

  1. Is the issue affecting a single audio zone, or multiple zones?
  2. Does the same behavior occur when using the System Output on your local device?
  3. Is your Roon Core connected to the internet via Wi-Fi or wired Ethernet?
  4. On which platform(s) are you experiencing the issue — Windows, Linux, iOS, Android, or Roon ARC?

That’s not a secure audio steam.

  1. I only have one audio zone which is a Holo Red Streamer, but other radio stations continue streaming on the Holo Red
  2. Same behavior on system output (Mac Mini)
  3. My Roon Core is on a Mac Mini wired with Ethernet
  4. On Mac OS and Holo Red

Thanks for the additional information @richard3, we’re discussing next steps internally with the team and should have more information to share soon.

In the meantime, @Mr.Flibble makes a good point - what is the original source of the radio you’re attempting to stream?

It may be worth checking and testing to see if there’s an alternative stream link you could attempt to use within Roon and check for the same issue. Let me know any additional details you may be able to provide here.

Hi @benjamin , many thanks for your reply, I tried various URLs for this station, but all of them show the same behaviour on Roon. The one I provided runs through on e.g. VLC.
