Internet Radio URL Swap Meet

Sounds interesting. Just added the link…thanks.

I’ve tracked down the URL for United DJs the new station in the UK - http://5.9.11.67:8208/stream.mp3?ver=88373. Not in high resolution but sounds good and plays great music pop/rock music from the past.

KRCL community radio in Salt Lake City. weekends are best: classic rock reggae, alt rock on Saturday and Native American, folk, bluegrass and Celtic on Sunday.

I came across Swiss Radio Classic through JRiver. I’ve been listening to the station for a couple of weeks through Roon and enjoy it a lot. The station focuses on classical music, largely in the form of movements, although once per hour there is a complete work. Commentary (in High German) is terse, restricted to title, composer and performers.

Here is the URL: http://www.radioswissclassic.ch/de/live/aacp.m3u.

A thousand times yes! I stumbled on KRCL on a business trip to Ogden, Utah, and KRCL on the internet has been one of my daily drivers for background music ever since. Very nice mix of good that’s old and good that’s new.

If you want to enjoy a historic radio station, responsible with changing UK radio for ever with its pirate radio ships, we have Radio Caroline…

Sounds quite listenable for only 128k. I lived at Snowbird, UT for 4 winters in the 80s and these guys put on great shows all over town. Small venues, upcoming acts. Awesome.

SLC has tripled in population since then and I suspect the little town feel is long gone, alas so are my skiing days.

Thanks for the link, here’s a graphic.

Have you found a decent stream? The US time delayed is ~115k and sounds absolutely terrible.

That’s all I have and all I know.
I remember it back in the day on AM with interference from jamming signals. The fact we could hear it at all was enough. I suppose this is authentic.

This is my url. http://sc3.radiocaroline.net:8030

My favourite radio station, 3RRR in Melbourne, has changed it’s HQ (128 mbs) stream. I’ve edited the link in my first post above, but set it out here also:

Don’t know i I may ask it here, but does anyone know the internet link from Radio Paradise that provites cover art like the bluos from Bluesound/Nad does

I get album cover art from any of the stream link URLs I’ve used. Which link are you using that is not providing art?

Can’t see it anymore but the one you give doesn’t work at all

That wasn’t a stream link. It’s a link to RadioParadise homepage. Open the link below on a computer and you’ll see all sorts of links you can use. Right click a link to copy, then paste into Roon.

EDIT: I tested a bit and noticed that the album art does NOT show in Roon during playback from any of the streams I tried. However, same streams do produce album art when played via LMS (squeezeboxes) or on an iphone music player. I also tried WUMB, which shows art on all my other players (LMS, iphone music player) and got no artwork on Roon.

Does any radio stream in Roon show album art?

I’m a listener of RP since the year…, i don’t know… since very long time. The BluOs app (Nad/Bluesound) has the cover art, strange that Roon doesn’t had it

Yes, several of my NON-roon setups show the RP art. Just not Roon. Not sure why.

Here is the link for jb radio2

3 posts were split to a new topic: Trouble adding radio stations

JB Radio 2 sounds great, now if we could get Roon to display there Now Playing screen, that would be great…

Radio Swiss Jazz - sounds pretty good despite the low bitrate
