From their FAQ:

How do I listen to KCRW on my third-party music device?
SONOS
All KCRW streams on Stitcher, TuneIn, SoundCloud, iHeartRadio, and iTunes are available through Sonos. (Note: iTunes requires sharing your iTunes library from your computer to Sonos. All other services will require creating a Sonos account to access.)

Apple TV
To listen on your Apple TV, open the Music app, then select Radio at the top of the screen. To listen via your Mac or PC on Apple TV, open iTunes. In the upper-left corner, choose Music. Then, from the navigation bar at the top of iTunes, choose Radio

Chromecast
KCRW is not currently supported by Chromecast.

any good gothic rock/darkwave stations people listen too,i listen to nightbreed radio and cathedral 13 any others people listen too?

Works well overseas with Getflix. https://www.getflix.com.au

@gary

Doomed on Soma FM is pretty good, but leans more to the industrial side. But occasionally the DJ will drift more into the darker more melodic sound.

These links donā€™t seem to workā€¦are there any others, or are they geo-blocked?

Looks like Radio Paradise is streaming FLAC level music now, at least on iPhone and ipad. Check it out.

Is there a URL for that for Roon? I had it in Roon previously and the stream is still saying AAC

Iā€™d like to see that link as well. at Radio Paradise web page they donā€™t mention any FLAC streams.

EDIT. I do see a FLAC option on bitrate in the new radioparadise iphone app.

I guess it may only be through their iOS app.

How about the spirit of the late John Peel?

Background
We could tell you how a bunch of volunteers felt inspired by the legacy of the late and much-missed BBC Radio DJ John Peel to create our own Internet radio station, named after Dandelion Records, the label Peel ran from 1969-1973. We could tell you that weā€™re bored with automated and formatted radio, and yearn for the days when DJs made it up as they went along, like we do. Or that we want to serve the needs of the people who create and distribute new and interesting music and provide a unique listening experience, with the spirit of Peel running through all we do. We could also tell you about all the strange, challenging, new, old and different music we play. And the exclusive live recordings and sessions we regularly feature. Or about how we are the official new home of John Peelā€™s legendary Festive Fifty - a broadcasting institution since 1976.

However, we think the station speaks for itself.

Search at tunein.com or www.dandelionradio.com

And this is what I keep getting. With many stations. Whatā€™s wrong? In LMS it works without a problem!

Not workingā€¦ get the dreaded ā€œRoon could not find a radio station at this URLā€

Folks, Iā€™d like you to try this method to get the direct internet URL address for any TuneIn radio station.

This seems to work on PCs. Iā€™m using Firefox. Mac users, youā€™ll have to advise.

First, pull up the web interface for the station you are interested in. For an example, I randomly selected Triple M The Border from Australia. Begin playing the station using the play arrow button in the center to make sure the station is playing out through TuneIn. Then, right click directly on the play arrow button to reveal the View Page Source choice. Select it and you will see the https web address of the station right in the browser address, which you can copy and paste right into Roonā€™s add a station interface. It should populate the station image, web address and description and voila, you are set to go. Give it a try and let us know here if it works for you.

A few screenshots to show you are attached. JCR
