Wie sind die gemachten Erfahrungen hier mit dem Intona 705X? Hat jemand hier einmal intensiv getestet und immer wieder mit und ohne verglichen?
Wenn es Dir um Klangbeschreibungen audiophiler Wortprägung geht, muss ich Dich meiner Erfahrung nach leider enttäuschen. Es gibt einige echte USB-Isolatoren auf dem Markt, und sie alle machen nur Sinn, wenn nicht mit der Musik zusammenhängende Störgeräusche wahrnehmbar sind, also etwa Knacks, Popps, Ticks oder dergleichen. Es geht ausschliesslich um die galvanische Trennung der Datenübertragung, so dass keine durch z.B. Erdschleifen auftretenden Ausgleichsströme das analoge Ausgangssignal besonders empfindlicher DACs wahrnehmbar überlagern können.
If you’re looking for audiophile sound descriptions, I’m afraid I’ll have to disappoint you, based on my experience. There are several different of true USB isolators on the market, and they all make sense only if you can hear noise unrelated to the music—such as crackles, pops, clicks, or similar. The sole purpose is to provide galvanically isolated data transmission, so that balancing currents—such as those caused by ground loops—cannot audibly interfere with the analog output signal of particularly sensitive DACs.

Due to above mentioned noises, I did successfully use a 7054-X during my 5 years with Roon, between a Win11 fanless Silentmaxx brand PC and SMSL M300mkII DAC.
Other than that, there was no change to the DAC’s sound signature in my experience.

… never thought about that … probably rather coining their name from marketing fanless PCs with desktop CPUs …
