@Artur If I’m not wrong that uses the Amanero USB 384 combo interface that is supported… also on my vinshine audio that uses the same board if I recall correctly.
I want to check without Amanero. Only RPi3-I2S
I’m not sure what you mean. Are you using USB? RoPieee does not ‘add’ drivers. The only thing I do is patch the kernel to be able to stream native DSD over USB.
I use Amanero USB (usb-amanero-DAC) and i2s (Rpi3-i2s-DAC)
I also asked to be added to the dietpi
@Artur so if I understand this right you plan to use the RPi I2S interface to the seokris thus creating a kind of roon ready R2R dac then? If so maybe you can create a new thread and we can get these posts moved to it, and it seems to be outside the the scope of the original ropieee objective of plug n play for non tech types… @spockfish correct me if I’m wrong and you want it all in here
it is really neeeded to blurt out a message every hour and then some to the CLI that the system is going down at hh:mm

The system is going down for reboot NOW!
I installed Ropieee tonight. Works great with my Teac UD-301 DAC, including DSD. Thanks for this!
Seems native for the Amanero 384 to do DSD256 is not an option either and no Native option selection @support not sure if this a roon issue or not? The ASIO screen shot is the last one - but lists DSD512 and 768KHz as possible too which might be incorrect I think for the Amanero 384
and the OPPO which seems to have Native listed.
ASIO on W10Pro Core
I have RPi3, Amanero, Soekris DAC. I want to check the difference in sound.
- RPi3 - USB - Amanero - i2s - Soekris DAC
and - RPi3 - i2s - Soekris DAC
This is “plug n play”
Ok. Now I understand it
The Soekris uses the I2S interface, and for that it uses the rpi-dac overlay.
That’s something I can make happen, not sure when though.
Regards,
Thank you.
image is placed elsewhere, speed is better now.
excellent job, working a treat here.
A couple of feature requests if they are possible?
- The ability to use both an audio HAT and USB at the same time - (If possible change the USB in the drop down to No Hat, and have USB on/off as a separate checkbox?)
- A way of seeing that the auto-update is working?
- Shutdown is great, but what about a reboot button?
Thanks in advance
Duncan
Hi guys,
Just another update: 20170518. It contains the following improvements:
- possibility to configure timezone
- reboot and shutdown option
- updated kernel to 4.9.28
- more native DSD supported DAC’s: Furutech ADL Stratos, Denafrips Ares DAC and HDTA Serenade DSD
Now normally I end this with a notion that updates are being pulled in automatically, but I’ve discovered a bug that (sometimes) makes the auto update not work. So either download the latest image, or power down/up your RoPieee yourself after which stuff should correct itself.
One of the next items on my list is a way to check which version you’re running.
Enjoy!
Perhaps it would be useful to have the choice to update automatically or “on request”? If you add a feature to check which version is running, perhaps you could display a message indicating that a new version is available.
Small new release: I’ve add support for the RPi DAC which make I2S possible.
As usual the update will be pulled in somewhere the coming 24 hrs.
@Artur could you test this please?
Your system has not updated yet. You need to have some patience
