I thought there was an existing thread on this but I can’t find it @Roon_Moderators please merge if needed.
Playback gets interrupted as it drops all the roon zones. Sometimes it keeps the Sonos zone but all the others drop off. After a couple of minutes or so it will recover.
Drops at 10:53
Hi, @ged_hickman1, thank you for the report. I reviewed the diagnostics report from your RoonServer and I will discuss those with our dev team. I will come back with the next steps as soon as I have any consistent info.
Hi, @ged_hickman1, thank you for the post. I spoke to our dev team and we’d like to enabled some additional diagnostics for your account. Could you please reboot your RoonServer twice and after that if you encounter this issue again, please, let me know the timestamp when it happened?
I’m not 100 percent sure but I think the symptoms may be caused by a dying server. It’s disappeared even to it’s IP address and needs physically rebooting once again.
I’ve ordered a pre-used, 2nd hand in old words, nucleus and will keep an eye out for behaviour in the future.
I am still seeing way too many zone disappear/reappear issues. Whilst it’s a bit random, I do see it quite frequently occur when I select and play a different/new album and replace the queue. Main listening is via Meridian ID41 but it does occur on other zones.
Looking at the queue also takes an age to display.
Is this still a live issue/work item for the team ?
yup. Zones are being dropped for me at B1600. Also, on occasions, I’m simply not able to play any music from a Zone, and would have to restart Roon Server, then it’s working again. I seem to bump into this every morning, and on occasions if I haven’t played music for a few hours then tried to play again.
