Thanks @Geoff_Coupe and @Ross_Rabin. While there’s obviously long-term work to be done for ARM Windows, we’re going to pin this bug down within our current implementation. We’ll comment here once the ticket is slated for release into #earlyaccess. Thank you for the report and for your patience.

I have the same issue with a new windows surface pro with snap dragon processor. Turning Roon dark makes no difference. It is very frustrating as I cannot see anything I write in any search box.

Is there a solution to this?

As @connor wrote 5 days ago, this bug is going to be addressed by the developers, and the support team will let us know once a fix has been made and slated for release into an Early Access build of Roon.

I am in the Early Access group, and once I can confirm that the fix works, it will then be scheduled for release in the Production builds of Roon.

@Geoff_Coupe is correct with the above statement - our development team doesn’t need any additional information for now, we’ll go ahead and close this ticket for the time being - until we have updates to share.

Hi everyone,

Development has a further question on this one before we push the change. Is the invisible text issue affecting all text entry fields in Roon (including Filter fields in other tabs like Composers, LIve Radio)?

Or is this limited to the global content search bar?

Hello. Just for the record, I’m having the same issue as others have described. I’m on a recent Surface pro using Windows 11 pro. Have tried making various windows setting changes but nothing has solved the issue.
Do you expect a resolution to come in the next update?

I’ve been having the same problem myself for at least a month. Windows 11, latest build.
Just updated to Roon 2.56 and the problem continues.

Is there any progress being made on this issue? Do you need more input to identify it? Unfortunately I can’t do a roon backups because the fields are all suppressed When I tried to enter a network drive. This is problematic.

Hello all,
I see that @connor indicated a fix was on the way, but there was a question about all text fields. I can confirm it’s all text fields. Is there a delay on deploying the fix?

I, too, have a new Surface 7 with Snapdragon and find the inability to search (text invisible) very frustrating. Is there an estimated time for a fix?

Yup. I opened a new ticket on this - and they came back and pointed me here. They say a fix is coming, and hopefully it’s soon - as it’s a stupid, but annoying AF.

This is an example - I typed “Bob Dylan” - but the text isn’t visible (though obviously it’s working). Attached is another example from another text box, where I typed the character ‘B’.

It’s a known issue with Snapdragon PCs and there’s a ticket in to fix it (although obviously a fix has not yet appeared).

Cool. Yeah - it’s a new laptop. Thanks for the quick response - and that’s my favorite kind of problem to have - one that other people are having too. :slight_smile:
