The Roon remote app has to be used with a system, so I’m wondering if I set a system for it, which I assume just an active program running on a computer, would I be able to use the streaming services? I just don’t want to switch between Tidal and Qobuz on my DAP and need an app that can do it.
You mean, playing Qobuz/Tidal content on your cell phone or tablet?
At home (same network as the Roon Core) this will work, you just need to set your device as output (enable it first under Settings/Audio).
On the go, it won’t - everything goes through the Core, so you must be in the same network as the Core. You could use BubbleUPNP for that purpose.
