I am going to buy a tablet just to serve as my Roon remote. Two I am considering are either iPad Mini 2 or Dell Revue 7840. Which app is better? I am mainly interested in being able to use alpha navigation and focus functions. Right now I am using Roon remote on my Samsung Note 3 phone and these two functions are not supported, I assume because the screen size and resolution?
I haven’t used the Android app so can’t compare the two. One of the main differences is that the Android app has an Output as well as a Control functionality so the tablet can play music. The iOS app is Control only and can’t play music on the tablet. That may change in future, but depends upon some third party development.
