This was only submitted to the store an hour or so ago, and will be available when Apple release it. There is always a short delay, and this can vary by region, too.

my iPad is running the latest version of iPadOS. when I open the Roon app and check “about” from settings it shows version 2.67 (build 1661). I find no indication that any update is available. also, when I check the App Store from my iPad it tells me the same: no newer update is available.
So, am I missing something or is the Apple Store still not up to date?

Thanks for the extra detail. What you’re seeing is expected, since the new build was only submitted to the App Store recently, and Apple still needs to approve and release it.
There is always a short delay before the update appears, and that timing can vary by region as well. Please check again once Apple has released it. Thanks for your patience while this is working its way through the store process.
As you might imagine when a “heralded” update such as this appears we’re all eager to get its benefits ASAP. And as outsiders to the process users, rather than developers, are pretty clueless as to the process. A very recent and quite similar delay happened with another announced and significant app for my ecosystem occurred. The software vendor, like you, offers apps on various platforms. Theirs took about a day to become visible on Apple client systems.
What’s most disconcerting is Roon’s and Apple’s products appear like opening the barn door: you never quite can be assured if there’s any orderly procession or not, as the “animals” bolt or straggle out. At least the client apps, so far, are not so tightly contingent on the server app to fail at delivering the music.
@stevebythebay, I have replied to you about this on two occasions. Your continued posting in regard to something outside Roon’s control is borderline axe-grinding.

Sorry. Just a process question. Can I assume the app is no longer in “Waiting for Review” or “In Review”? Certainly no longer in “Pending Developer Release”. Guess the queue may choked with a gaggle of A.I. apps waiting for review…
Roon Remote iOS 2.70 and Roon ARC 1.8 are not available through the Apple app store. Why not?
Unfortunately, delays from the Apple App Store are not that unusual.
Yes, those updates do exist for iOS. Hopefully they’ll clear quickly and be available soon.

No good will come from commenting here… Roon has submitted to the respective app stores and has no control over when the apps are released by Apple or Google.
Latest update for Roon has downloaded to my core and desktop clients, nothing for iPad or iPhone. I haven’t encountered a multi-day lag before.

Good news! The Apple App Store has updated the Roon app to 2.70
Right, I’ve never encountered multi-day delays for iPad or iPhone apps before.
I see today’s update for Roon remotes (build 1673) showed up quickly in the Apple App Store.
The kind of changes surely play a role. The iOS app was not affected by the crash bug, so it’s even possible that this was a no-change update to keep the version numbers consistent, and Apple would wave it through more quickly.
