Describe your network setup

Can you please share a screenshot of the issue you are seeing? I am looking over your account diagnostics, but I only see one RoonServer tied to your account.
You noted in your post that your Roon server is connected via WiFi. I don’t think that is possible with a Synology NAS. That said, if your Roon server is not on the same subnet (e.g., 192.168.1.x vs 192.168.0.x) as your WiFi network, you will not be able to connect the two.
According to your screenshot, it looks like there is no Roon Server found at all. Does the Roon app on your iPad have local network access toggled to on? You can check this by going to iOS Settings → Locating Roon app on the list → Ensuring Local Network Access is toggled to On.
Yes, I am quite sure that everything is enabled. The Synology NAS running Roon Core is connected by cable to the same local network. I have enabled all SMB protocols, but no luck, and tried to enable AFP, however I got a warning message when doing that, that I should use SMB instead. From my point of view: this is because the iPad OS is too old? A number of apps I try to use on the iPad does not work, they require IOS 16 or higher, Apple for sure want me to buy a new iPad …
