Describe the issue

After the installation of the last update, my iPad Roon remote has been unable to connect to Sonictransporter I9. When I try to connect, it gives me the uh oh message and it stalls the I9. I have restarted the entire network multiple times, reinstalled the Roon app on the iPad multiple times and have deleted Roon from the server and reinstalled with a back up. The I9 is hardwired and the iPad is of course on Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi is via Eero Pro 6. I went through your entire excellent work around for the hero networks, but it did not help.

The set up is as small as follows:

ISP - Sonic 1G
Whole house wired Cat 6
Eero gateway in the garage hard wired to the ISP
Eero gateway also wired to Netgear 16 port switch to all Cat 6
Silent Angel network switch in media closet to I9

Hello @Jeffrey_Clayton ,

Thanks for reaching out with your report. I’ve gone ahead and activated diagnostics mode for your account, and what this does is upload a log set to our servers for review.

Looking over this log set, I can see you have ~409,000 tracks associated with your Roon library and it looks like Roon is getting out-of-memory errors with a library this large.

The solution forward here would be to either increase the RAM in your Roon Server, or to use a subset of your Roon library and run a Clean Up Library function.

Please ensure you have a recent Backup of your Roon database before running Clean Up as well.

Thank you for your help.
I tried clean up with no success.
I will increase the servers RAM and try again.

Hi @Jeffrey_Clayton,
Thanks for the update! We’ll be on the lookout for the results of the RAM increase. Let us know how it goes, and if you experience any changes in performance. We’re here to assist further if needed.
