iPad won’t connect to Moon Ace

Core Machine (Operating system/System info/Roon build number)

Moon Ace

Network Details (Including networking gear model/manufacturer and if on WiFi/Ethernet)

WiFi in same room - no problem using the mind app

Audio Devices (Specify what device you’re using and its connection type - USB/HDMI/etc.)


Description Of Issue

When I launch the Roon app on the iPad it cannot connect. I have also tried giving it the direct IP address of the Moon Ace

Hi Ian,

Is the Ace a new device? If not, has the Mind been upgraded to Moon Mind 2? It’s needed for Roon Ready.

If it is Mind 2, can you not see it in Settings > Audio?

Hello @Ian_McClelland,

In order to run Roon, you need to have the Roon software installed on a Mac or PC on your home network. Once Roon is running on your Mac or PC, you will be able to use the Roon app on your iPad to control the Moon ACE.
