Roon does not identify correctly assigned iPads or iPhone as displays. No issues with Chromecast or Win11. Checked the correct IP address. Runs on a Synology NAS for years w/o the problem. Appears to me that this is linked to the latest update. iOS device run on their respective latest software version.
Describe your network setup
Synology 720+ runs Roon server, several passive network switches connect hardware Audiophonics Streamer, various Raspberries running Roon Bridge, several Elac Z3 Roon Ready speakers and streamer, Onkyo RZ740 via Win11 HDMI NUC as Roon bridge endpoint, a few Chromecast Ultra and Google TV dongles. All managed by a Fritzbox 6690 via Ethernet or WiFi (iOS remotes and Chromecast)
We’ll need a little more information to take action here. Are you relying on extensions in this setup or a simple browser display? Are these iOS devices present in the Apple Home app?
And what if you access the display settings within Roon downloaded on one of the issue devices like your iPhone - can you copy the link and paste it to a web browser on the device and successfully share a display?
In the meantime I reinstalled Roon on NAS on my Synology 720+ and had it rebuild the database from the scratch (no relevant customization etc.). Now my 3 iOS display devices show up and all is good. I cannot offer an explanation and I tend not question these kind of successes.
