Describe the issue

After the most recent Roon server update to build 1490, my iPads stopped being able to find the Roon server on my network. When I open the remote app, it just sits there in search mode. I can connect from my iPhone running IOS 18.2 with build 1490 and I can connect from Windows 11 PCs running the 1490, but 2 different iPads (one running 18.2 the other 18.3) can't find the server. iPads and iPhone are on the same Wifi network, SonicTransporter is connected via Ethernet. I tried deleting and reinstalling the 1490 build of Remote app on my iPads but that didn't help.

Describe your network setup

SonicTransporter is connected to a Meraki 220-8 switch. Using Meraki WAPs for Wifi. Wifi signal is strong and iPhone is connecting to server just fine. Network routing and firewall is also Meraki.

Problem solved, you can close this case. Somehow, possibly due to an IOS update, both iPad had switched over to using the Guest network, which connects to nothing but the public Internet, so of course they couldn’t find the local Roon server.
