Describe the issue

My iPhone apps will not connect to my server anymore.

Describe your network setup

iMac running my server over wifi

ARC is displaying this message.

All software and apps are latest versions.

It sounds/ looks like for whatever reason your server cannot be seen by anything else, possibly ip subnet changed?
Any recent OS updates?

Alternatively have you tried just hitting select a different server?
This will not hurt anything.
It then should present a list of what Roon servers your network sees.

Ahh yeah, It listed and connected to my server. That message makes you think something bad could happen. Thanks @AceRimmer for that, I will know for next time now.

My ARC is still the same though.

Do you have the latest version of ARC installed?

Yes, everything is up to date, all updated over the weekend.

Well now you have fixed the remote connection issue you might have to reboot the Roon Sever for ARC to see it again, it never hurts for sure.

Are you sure all parts are using the same release track, production or beta (Early Access)? This message usually appears if the RoonServer is using the production version and the ARC app is beta.

Hi @fireapple,
Thanks for writing in to ask us about this issue. Are you still having trouble connecting to Roon?

The Roon apps are fine now. Only having problerms with ARC now, see screenshot above.

iMac was updated from the app and iPhone apps were updated through the app store as always.

Please tell us the versions you have for everything. There’s no point in us guessing

Desktop and iPhone app: 2.0 build 1462.

ARC: 1.0.57

Thanks. This seems fine in fact. Sorry for being annoying, but I have seen so many cases of this where people said that all was fine but then it turned out to be some production/beta mash-up, anyway.

Back to @daniel for further investigation, I guess.

Hey @fireapple,

My apologies here, are you having trouble updating Arc, or using Arc? Does the same issue occur if you completely delete Arc on the device and perform a fresh download?

If Arc use is your issue, can you head into your Roon Settings>Roon Arc and share the error code listed?

Reinstall sorted it out.
