I’ve recently been spending more time exploring Roon Radio, and I’m genuinely impressed by how well it continues playback once a playlist or album finishes.
I’ve also started using the 
/ 
controls on my Mac and iPad to help refine Roon Radio’s recommendations. It feels like a simple but valuable way of teaching the recommendation engine what I enjoy—and what I don’t.
However, unless I’m missing something, I can’t find the equivalent Like/Dislike controls anywhere in the iPhone app.
The Ban this track option is available, but that feels quite different. Banning a track removes it from future playback altogether, whereas a simple Like or Dislike lets you say, “I’d like to hear more recommendations like this” or “This recommendation wasn’t really for me,” without permanently excluding the track.
So my first question is:
Have I simply overlooked where these controls are on the iPhone, or are they genuinely unavailable?
I did find an older feature request discussing thumbs-up/down behaviour on iOS, but that thread was automatically closed back in 2022. My suggestion is slightly broader.
If these controls aren’t currently available, I’d like to suggest adding them.
For many of us, the iPhone is probably the Roon Remote we use most while listening. Being able to quickly provide positive or negative feedback on Roon Radio recommendations would seem like a natural way to help the recommendation engine become more personalised over time.
Since the Like and Dislike controls already exist on the Mac and iPad apps, this wouldn’t introduce a new recommendation system. It would simply bring the iPhone experience into line with the rest of the Roon ecosystem.
I’d be interested to hear whether I’ve missed something and, if not, whether others would find this addition useful.
