Is it possible for HQPlayer to automatically fallback to PCM if DSD is unavailable?

Can’t play multiples of 48kHz with DSD.

If the rate combination is unavailable on the song, is it possible for HQP to auto switch output to PCM for that track?

Maybe like a source check before playing the track?

You should choose a filter that can convert from 48k-base rates to 44.1k-base output. Most of the poly-sinc filters can do this. For example the poly-sinc-gauss-hires-lp which is default for the case in your screenshot.
