Description of Issue

Is it possible to tell Roon never to bother identifying certain tracks? I sometimes download historical radio shows from archive.org which Roon’s never going to be able to identify. However, from time to time it goes into this 100% CPU using task which turns on the fan and brings the rest of Roon to a crawl. I’ve gotten around this by just not including these files in my Roon library, but Roon’s so convenient that I just end up not listening to these radio shows.

If I tell Roon “prefer file” for all of these files’ metadata, will it stop trying to identify the files during its occasional run through the library?

It wouldn’t hurt to do that and might solve the issue. I would also, make a location just for these radio shows, then you can disable/enable the storage location when you want to listen to them. I do that for Seasonal Music.

That location idea is golden. Thanks!
